Project Finance

Alexander Carr & Co has access to specialist project finance banks and commercial lending organisations worldwide that finance complex infrastructure projects across various sectors including oil and gas sector projects and privately promoted infrastructure projects including power stations, gas pipelines, waste-disposal plants, waste-to-energy plants, telecommunication facilities, bridges, tunnels, toll roads, railway networks, city-centre tram links and construction of hospitals, education facilities, government accommodation and tourist facilities.

Project finance often consists of a complex structure and mix of capital and requires expert financial modelling in order to reduce risk to identified lenders. Increasingly, project financing is emerging as the preferred alternative to conventional methods of financing infrastructure and other large-scale projects worldwide. Therefore we work with specialists in financial modelling and project finance transactions aswell as organisations who can arrange export/import bank support and political risk insurance guarantees.

BOOT

Funding sources will consider large-scale infrastructure investments under a BOOT concept ( build, own and operate and transfer ) where the private sector is granted a concession from the state to build, own and operate and transfer a facility and after the time specified in the concession period is obliged to hand it back to the state

PPP

Other funding sources will consider PPP projects (Public Private Partnership) where the project is financed and operated as a private sector organisation who delivers a service to the public sector in return for payment linked to the service levels provided.
